Are Napa Reman Alternators Good. It is a ford 6G alternatorThis is the napa premium one with a lifetime warranty. The original alternator in my 2003 Ford Focus broke and I replaced it with a new alternator from NAPA.
I had three different rebuilt Napa alternators before I got a good one for the old gasser. Really a PITA to keep pulling and replacing these freakn alternators and running back and forth to the local Napa. I see that I can get a remanufactured alternator from Subaru PN 23700AA34ARA but Im not sure if a Subaru Reman.
That one failed about 2-3 months later and so NAPA gave me a second one under warranty.
Its 7875 with a 50 core charge a surprising amount of variability in local dealer prices - one was 150 another 125 and one at 78 for the SAME part. I agree a Ford or another alternator from a heavyduty aftermarket company would probally be a better choice. Over the years Ive come to trust rebuilt parts more than new in most cases. I had a similar problem a couple of years ago.
