Almost 43 of American households have a landline phone even though that number is trending down. A 2019 survey found that approximately 63 million people approximately 25 of US. There are a few who technically have landlines because the package deal made their internet cheaper but those people dont actually have phones hooked up to.
And so many people work in multiple spaces that a landline phone can be impractical.
The phone company doesnt provide DSL in our area so it wasnt an issue for us. Does anyone still use landlines. At work we have landlines but I generally just use my radio there unless I have to make an outside call. There is one thing I missand its kinda subtle.
